CBD
Cannabis plants contain 60+, naturally occurring, active compounds called cannabinoids. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of these compounds found in all cannabis plants. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the most well-known cannabinoid and is associated with marijuana’s psychoactive properties.
CBG
Like CBD and other cannabinoids, CBG interacts with chemical receptors in the body, which make up the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).
CBN
Like CBD and other cannabinoids, CBN exerts therapeutic effects through interaction with chemical receptors in nearly every system of the body by interacting with receptors of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). CBN was actually the first cannabinoid ever extracted and has been the subject of decades of research.
CBN can be even more powerful when combined with other cannabinoids and THC.
CBC
CBC interacts with CB2 receptors of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). This system is involved in regulating a wide range of our body’s functions required for optimal health.
Delta 8
Delta-8-Tetrahydrocannabinol is an analogue of traditional Delta 9 THC. Delta-8 works within the Endocannabinoid system (ECS) and reacts with CB1 receptors located in the central nervous system. While it can have some psychotropic effects, Delta 8 is less potent than traditional delta 9 THC. The 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized all Hemp products which contain less than 0.3% Delta 9-THC (the illegal one). And with huge advances in Hemp science, scientists have figured out how to concentrate the Delta 8-THC content in Hemp while at the same time minimize the Delta 9-THC content to under the legal limit. This leaves us with a Hemp extract oil that is anywhere from 90%-98% pure Delta 8-THC, while keeping the Delta 9-THC percentage at essentially 0%.
Delta 9
THC stands for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or Δ-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ-9-THC). It is a cannabinoid molecule in marijuana (cannabis) that’s long been recognized as the main psychoactive ingredient—that is, the substance that causes people who use marijuana to feel high.
THC is just one of more than 400 different active substances—and 60 different cannabinoid molecules—contained in marijuana, although THC is the most recognized. Another important cannabinoid molecule that has received major interest is cannabidiol (CBD).
Delta 10
Delta-10-Tetrahydrocannabinol is a synthetic isomer of tetrahydrocannabinol, developed in the 1980s. Two enantiomers have been reported in the literature, with the 9-methyl group in either the or conformation; of these the enantiomer appears to be the more active isomer.
HHC
HHC was first created in 1944 by the American chemist Roger Adams, when he added hydrogen molecules to Delta-9 THC. This process, known as hydrogenation, converts THC to hexahydrocannabinol (HHC).
Hydrogenation isn’t limited to cannabinoid production. A similar process is used to convert vegetable oil to margarine.
While Adams created HHC from conventional cannabis-derived THC, these days the cannabinoid is typically derived through a process that begins with hemp, the low-THC cannabis plant that was made federally legal by Congress in the 2018 farm bill.
THC-V
THC-V is a cannabinoid that was first discovered in the early 1970s and is relatively common in cannabis plants. At high doses in potent strains, THC-V will produce psychoactive effects that are generally stimulating and promote mental clarity. They are also fast-acting and fast-dissipating. Some research indicates that low doses (5 to 7.5 milligrams) can reduce appetite through its interactions with CB1 receptors.
THC-O
THC-O is a new, cutting edge cannabinoid (derived from Hemp just like Delta 8) which carries psychoactive effects and euphoric feelings associated with the typical properties associated with cannabis use. It is rumored that THC-O is roughly 3 times more potent than regular THC. Additionally, THC-O is known for its anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, appetite stimulating and stress reducing properties.
THC-P
THC-P is the new powerhouse cannabinoid on the block. THC-P, which is short for tetrahydrocannabiphorol and scientifically known as (-)-Trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol, is a natural cannabinoid and analog of THC present in varieties of cannabis. It’s thought to be 33 times more active at cannabinoid 1 (CB1) receptors than THC, causing an intense and intoxicating euphoric high.
